The fine folks at Hotrod Cameras out in Burbank did me a solid.
I have been asked by Tom Fletcher over at Fujinon to play around with one of their new cinema zoom lenses (the 55-135) along with this SLR Magic Anamorphot-65 anamorphic adapter.
Today, the rental package arrived. I got the adapter itself, along with a lens support (absolutely necessary with a lens adapter this heavy), and this PDMovie follow focus system that’s necessary to focus the lens AND the anamorphic adapter simultaneously.
I’m excited to put them through their paces and see what I can get.

I know Tom Fletcher, and his Dad Archie. They are cornerstones of the industry, had the pleasure to work along side them during their Studio Center operation days. If he asked you to test drive his gear, I would do a good job with the gear and give him detailed responses in your findings. A great guy to call a resource for sure.
