I’m a little bit embarrassed by this one.
Make no mistake, I am an enthusiastic Star Trek Person. I would go so far as to say that if I have religion, it’s the values imparted on me by nearly 40 years of Star Trek viewership.
The Greatest Generation, on the other hand, that takes some explaining. This very dick and fart joke podcast might turn off even folks who get the Star Trek Thing. But with closer examination, you might come to realize that my friends Ben and Adam see Star Trek for exactly what it is: An optimistic and aspirational view of the future of the human experience, made by some very flawed and strange 20th and 21st century human beings. And what’s amazing about it is also what’s absurd about it.
Which amuses me to no end.
So when I heard they needed a fireplace to pull off a very stupid bit, I enthusiastically found that fireplace (and myself) in Van Nuys to film and edit a holiday gift to all their fans and viewers.
